My first involvement with Everest was under the gun. I was asked to come in to solve a single issue. That being that the composer wanted to be able to enhance the chorus at different times due to the lack of space on the set and the size of the chorus. By the time we opened, we had completely revamped the audio playback rig, installed new speakers to localize various sound cues to their logical positions on stage and added a dozen area mics hidden on the set to enhance the chorus. With the help of Qlab for audio playback, a Qlab operator and some subtle mic levels, it worked.
My second involvement with Everest came when the production was remounted by Lyric Opera of Kansas City in November of 2017.

Note that there is no mention of sound design under Artistic and Production Staff. At least they give credit to Phil Rebel. This might be due to the webpage being created before I was hired but that in and of itself tells it’s own story. I was contracted by the opera company to recreate the original design a few weeks out. Details to follow
