It was during The Dallas Opera’s world premier of Great Scott that I was introduced to Mark Donahue of Sound Mirror. Sound Mirror was brought in to capture Great Scott, mix it and produce a CD. I was fortunately enough to be acting as the sound designer for the production and got to spend a great deal of time picking Mark’s brain regarding microphones, mic preamps, A/D conversion and recording methods. If you look at the list of awards captured by Sound Mirror, it becomes obvious that Mark and his team are doing something right!
